John Clark, Professional Rhythm Guitarist

John Clark is the rhythm guitarist and singer in the Skudpuppetz. Chris and John share the singing and song writing duties. They also sort out most of the gigs.

John has been playing guitar since he was 15 after spending 2 years playing bass and getting nowhere with it. He taught himself cos the school never bothered offering John lessons and he had to bring in his own music to learn.

The first guitar John ever got was cherry sunburst Vintage Les Paul copy. It was a Christmas present. Now he plays an Ibanez Ergodyne and a Epiphone Les Paul Mr Skull Special that were both presents from his fiancé Alia. Apparently John has enough musical instruments in his house to put sound control outta business . His amp is a Crate 120 watt combo and he uses a Line 6 Pod v2.0 for distortion and he is thinking on investing in a Wah Wah pedal.

John got into punk when he was about 13 after he heard the Offsprings Americana album, Green Days Nimrod album and going to see Green Day for the first time when he was 15. They are probably the 2 biggest influences on Johns music. His other influences are stuff like Alkaline Trio, NoFX and Reel Big Fish, but he'll listen to pretty much anything (System Of A Down, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Killswitch Engage, My Chemical Romance, The Berzerker (damn can that guy drum)). John hates Oasis though and shite like that and Pop/Dance music just gives him a really sore head.

Johns favourite guitarists/songwriters are Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio and Tim Armstrong of Rancid. Man do those guys rock!!!
